On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM CHTA is hosting a NYSEG representative at the Cumberland Head Fire Station to speak about the possibility of bringing natural gas to the Town of Plattsburgh, and in particular to Cumberland Head. Although the hour might be difficult we urge everyone and anyone from anywhere in the Town Of Plattsburgh who is interested in natural gas to attend or to send a friend. Numbers count if we want natural gas service extended to Cumberland Head. There will be time for questions and answers. If you or a friend can’t come but you have questions you want answered, please give us your questions and someone from CHTA will be sure to pose them to the NYSEG rep.

The cost to heat a home today with natural gas is about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of heating with fuel oil. If the cost of converting your furnace over to gas concerns you, there are rebates available that might help out. Please visit NYSEG to see what is offered.

And if you haven’t yet filled out the survey which NYSEG recently mailed to Town residents, please do so and mail it in before March 14. Or go to http://www.nyseg.com/gasplatts and complete it on line. Please urge your friends and neighbors to do the same and come with you on Wednesday.
